Presently the Srimanta Sankaradeva Kalakshetra, which has already completed eleven years of existence, has taken up various programmes through its different sections to emerge as an important center of culture, academic and intellectual activities in the entire country. It has already accomplished a large number of activities in the field of music, dance, drama, literature, art, history, etc and has been endeavouring to present itself as a platform for exchange of knowledge at the national and international levels. In doing so, it has always laid emphasis on preservation and upliftment of the cultural heritage of the State.
